Fox Crossing

This one was taken at Island Beach State Park, NJ. After spending the whole day next to an Osprey nest, while driving back on the long road that makes up this park, I have noticed this fox on the side of the road. he wasn't scared, on the contrary, he came up so close I could not fit him in the frame sometimes, probably used that people are throwing it food. Another car stopped by on the other side, and he crossed the road twice to see if he can get something other than a snapshot. This was shot with my butt on the ground, feet forward, both knees touching to form a support to the lens.

Born To Be Wild - A Snow Leopard

This was shot through the glass at the Bronx Zoo, NY, or otherwise I wouldn't be able to remain so stable :) There isn't much light in this area, and keeping that lens stable is very hard on a light duty travel tripod (I left the big one in the car so not to be overly weighted by equipment). In retrospect, I should have bumped the ISO up by at least a stop - maybe 2, and get a bit more depth of field. At the time, I did not have the 70-200mm which is a much better lens for these tight quarters and such a large cat.
